If you need a court approved program or want the support of a group setting alongside your individual work, Arkansas Counseling and Wellness offers Domestic Violence Intervention, anger management, theft prevention, and substance abuse classes across our three locations. All programs are led by licensed clinicians, use evidence based curriculum, and provide completion documentation for courts and probation officers. Registration is open Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to noon. Class schedules and times are posted on our calendar. Most programs require advance payment, and we accept most major insurance for clinically indicated services.

If a judge, probation officer, attorney, or employer has referred you to complete a program, you are in the right place. Arkansas Counseling & Wellness offers four court-approved groups and classes, plus DOT SAP evaluations, all with the documentation your referrer requires.
What court approved programs do you offer?
Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP). Weekly psychoeducational and cognitive behavioral therapy group for adult male and female domestic violence offenders. Held at our North Little Rock office.
Anger Management Class. Court-approved 8-hour class delivered in two 4-hour sections (A and B). Attendance at both sections is required for credit. CBT-based curriculum.
Substance Abuse Group. Court-approved 9-hour psychoeducational and cognitive behavioral therapy course covering the mechanics of addiction, warning signs, triggers, and treatment pathways.
Theft Prevention Class. Educational intervention addressing underlying behavior patterns and prevention for theft-related offenses.
What does every program include?
A licensed clinician as facilitator (not a volunteer, not a paraprofessional)
Evidence-based curriculum rooted in CBT and psychoeducational models
Attendance tracking and completion documentation sent directly to the referring party (with client authorization)
Structured make-up policies for missed sessions
Clear, written program expectations and fees disclosed upfront
For attorneys, judges, and probation officers
If you are a referring party, our page for courts and probation outlines documentation, communication protocols, and what to expect when you refer a client. We accept referrals from judges, district attorneys, defense attorneys, probation officers, employers, MROs, and DOT-designated employer representatives.

Related Questions
How do I know which program my court ordered?
Bring your referral paperwork to intake. The court order or referral source will name the specific program required. Common Arkansas referrals are DVIP for domestic violence, anger management for assault or disorderly conduct charges, theft prevention for theft related charges, and substance abuse education or group for substance related offenses.
Are completion certificates accepted statewide?
Yes. Completion documentation from our programs is accepted by Arkansas courts and probation officers statewide. DVIP completion is specifically backed by ACADV accreditation.
Can I attend a group via telehealth?
No. Court approved group programs are in person except for the 3 hour substance abuse education class which is fully online. The 9 hour substance abuse group, DVIP, anger management, and theft prevention all require in person attendance.
How much do the groups cost?
Costs vary by program. Court approved groups are typically not covered by insurance because they are not clinically indicated treatment. Call 501 464 2926 for current pricing. Payment is required in advance.
How quickly can I get into a group?
Group cohort timing varies. Some groups have weekly rolling admission; others run on cohort schedules with set start dates. Call to discuss timing relative to your court deadline.
