Clinical content
We do not use generative AI to write clinical content. Every clinical paragraph on this website — every page under /services/, /resources/, the FAQ, and clinically themed sections of /about/ — is authored or directly supervised by a licensed clinician. Specifically, this means:
- No ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or other large language model is used to draft clinical claims, treatment descriptions, regulatory summaries, or recommendations on this site.
- Reference materials a clinician consults (textbooks, journal articles, agency publications) may have been indexed by AI search tools, but the clinician retrieves and synthesizes those materials manually.
- If we ever use AI to brainstorm structure for a clinical page, the resulting page is rewritten in the clinician's own language and reviewed against primary sources before publication.
Operations and scheduling
We use software tools that include automation features. None of these tools train on patient information:
- The patient portal (TherapyPortal) handles scheduling and intake. Personal health information stored there is governed by HIPAA business associate agreements and is not used to train external AI systems.
- The website does not use chatbots or AI assistants for intake. Visitors who want to schedule reach a human via phone, email, or the patient portal.
Patient data and AI training
No client information — names, intake forms, session notes, evaluation results, treatment plans — is used to train any AI system. Our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices governs how we handle protected health information. AI use is incompatible with that notice and is therefore prohibited.
Search engines and AI assistants
This website allows reputable AI search and answer engines to crawl public content, with attribution back to this site. The list of allowed crawlers is in our robots.txt. Allowing them is a discoverability decision; it does not authorize them to use our content for training in ways inconsistent with their published policies.
If our use of AI changes
If we ever begin using AI in clinical content authoring, this policy will be updated to disclose it before the first AI-assisted paragraph is published. The change will be logged in our corrections log as a material policy change.
