Who says therapy has to be dull? As a therapist, I am dedicated to fostering a lively and inviting atmosphere for all my clients. My extensive experience spans working with diverse age groups, including children, teens, adults, and foster care youth. I have been involved in various treatment settings, such as residential, inpatient, and outpatient environments.
Employing person-centered approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, elements of play therapy, role playing, empty chair, and solution-focused methods are at the core of my therapeutic methods. My expertise extends to addressing issues like anxiety, self-esteem, anger management, depression, and trauma-related concerns.
I am proficient in two evidence-based trauma interventions: Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Holding a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in addiction studies from the University of Central Arkansas, I furthered my education by earning a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Henderson State University.
Outside of my professional endeavors, I relish spending time with friends and family, attending Zumba classes, listening to podcasts, watching movies, traveling, and enjoying moments with my dachshund.
