My counseling approach is one that centers around long-term solutions as they pertain to mental, behavioral, and emotional health. I seek to connect with clients through empowering techniques that focus on each individual’s unique set of strengths. I most often utilize evidence-based techniques that have been shown in research to be clinically effective, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy. I enjoy working with a variety of clients from all different backgrounds, and I am committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment that promotes healing and growth.
I am originally from Washington State and only recently relocated to Arkansas. I completed my undergraduate degree in communications at Central Washington University (go Wildcats!) and obtained my Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling with an emphasis in sexology from Bellevue University. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and I am level 1 certified by the Family Peace Initiative.
In my free time, you’ll find me reading true crime novels, cooking and baking, or getting some fresh air. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three dogs in addition to exploring my new home here in Arkansas.
