My name is Erin Boydston, and I am a licensed professional counselor with a deep passion for helping individuals of all age groups navigate their unique life challenges. I hold a master’s degree in counseling from John Brown University, where I developed a strong foundation in therapeutic practices and techniques.
With extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults, I have had the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of therapy across various life stages. My specialization in play therapy allows me to engage younger clients in a way that feels natural and empowering, facilitating their emotional and psychological growth through creative and expressive methods.
In my practice, I primarily utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. This model emphasizes the interconnectedness of thoughts, feelings, and actions. By helping clients understand and reshape their thought patterns, we can work together to influence their emotions and behaviors positively, leading to more fulfilling and balanced lives. Additionally, I incorporate multiple play therapy and sand tray techniques to engage clients, particularly children, in a creative and expressive manner. These techniques facilitate emotional and psychological growth, allowing clients to explore and process their experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
I firmly believe that each person is the author of their own life story. While some chapters may be more challenging than others, these difficulties do not define the entirety of the narrative. It is my honor and privilege to assist individuals in writing their stories, offering support and guidance as they navigate through both the trials and triumphs of their journeys.
