Aleah Curley
Counselor Education and Supervision PhD Intern
It is an honor to be invited to your journey! I am happy to support you as a source of encouragement towards creating a lasting, positive effect in your life. My counseling approach is shaped by client centered and evidence-based techniques. Through a trauma lens, I approach the therapeutic process with techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and Brainspotting (BSP). I am passionate about encouraging individuals to see their strengths and use those to cultivate their desired emotional and mental health. Historically, I have worked with adults with a variety of therapeutic needs, but have specialized in working with survivors of intimate partner violence and those with open family court cases.  No matter your reason for beginning this journey, I am here to cheer you along in a safe and empowering environment.
I am completing my doctoral, clinical internship with Arkansas Counseling and Wellness Services, and I am beyond excited for the opportunity to serve Arkansans in this space. I am a St. Louis, Missouri native that has always found home in Little Rock with extended family. I completed my Bachelors in Psychology at Philander Smith College and my Masters in Counseling at Webster University. I am working to complete my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision with an emphasis in Trauma and Crisis Intervention at Walden University, by the Winter of 2025.
In my free time, I enjoy painting, napping, and listening to audiobooks. I relocated to Arkansas to marry my college sweetheart and be closer to my family. I look forward to connecting with you!
